Special Event Application
To complete an application you will need to have an account with us. If you don't have an account, please create an account.
A special event application is required for events taking place on City property. Special events may be civic, provincial, or national celebrations, cultural performances or gatherings, sporting tournaments and a wide range of commercial or corporate functions.
Private events (birthday parties, family reunions, company picnics, etc.) do not require a special event application, but do require a rental permit. Contact facilitybookings@guelph.ca for more information.

Mandatory MFA for Applicants
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will become mandatory for all special event applicants who are applying for special event permits within the Eproval platform. MFA adds a secure, two-step verification layer to help protect all users from unauthorized access.
How MFA Works
Users will complete a simple two-step authentication process during login:
- Enter Username and Password – Applicants will log in with their account credentials.
- Enter Email Verification Code - A one-time verification code will be sent to the applicant using the email address on account.
Both steps are required for successful login.
